Renewal of the operating license and concession
Based on the updated safety report, the Federal Office of Transport (FOT) renewed the operating license and the concession for the Säntis cable car until 2025. In preparation for this, the pillar anchors were replaced, the Ward Leonard drive group was replaced by a modern three-phase machine (650 kW) and the cable car control system was renewed.
