The last station keeper left Mount Säntis
The weather station has been on Säntis since 1882. Johann Josef Koller was the first station keeper. In 1969, the last «real» station keeper Walter Utzinger left Mount Säntis. The station on Säntis was then automated and sends its data to the Swiss Meteorological Institute.
