Theme trails

Discover geology, watch animals, learn new things, enjoy nature – you can do all this and much more on the five theme trails in the NaturErlebnisparks Schwägalp/Säntis natural park. The theme trails are circular tracks lined with richly illustrated information boards that are placed at points of particular interest in terms of landscape or geology, and feature interesting facts for explorers of all ages.

All theme trails are interconnected and can be combined as desired. They are well-maintained circular tracks and are marked with signposts that display the walking/hiking time back to the starting point.

Neuer Familienspass: der Appenzeller Scheibenweg

Auf der Schwägalp entsteht ein neues Familien-Erlebnis: der Appenzeller Scheibenweg am Säntis. Der interaktive Naturpfad zwischen der Schwägalp und der Passhöhe verbindet Natur, Bewegung und spannendes Wissen auf spielerische Art und Weise.

In zwölf Erlebnisstationen werden Sie von einer Holzscheibe in Form und Grösse eines Schwägalp-Mutschli begleitet. Entlang des rund zwei Kilometer langen Weges rollt die Scheibe durch eigens angelegte Rinnen und kommt bei verschiedenen Stationen zum Einsatz. Mal ist Geschick gefragt, mal Beobachtungsgabe und manchmal auch Teamarbeit.
