General information

Level access is available from the parking spaces, through the lower and upper cable car stations and up to the Panorama Restaurant, with the aid of lifts.

The standard rates apply for people with disabilities or reduced mobility. Companions ride for free upon presentation of an SBB companion card [Begleiterkarte] (Switzerland) or a handicap ID card with “B” status (Germany).

There are four disabled parking spaces directly next to the lower Säntis cable car station. There are also ample bus parking places by the lower station. Parking is free.

There are disabled toilets in the hotels on the Schwägalp Pass and on the Säntis summit.

Säntis – the hotel

The new Säntis – the hotel is fully wheelchair accessible and equipped with lifts.

We have three generous wheelchair-accessible rooms with specially equipped bathrooms.

There is level access to all restaurants, banquet rooms and seminar rooms, and all of the them have sufficient space.

The restaurant has disabled toilets.

NaturErlebnispark

Some paths in the NaturErlebnispark are accessible and passable with a wheelchair, but they do not conform to official standards – a strong person to hold and push the wheelchair is required.

“Geologie” stone park: recommended (approx. 200 m)

Forest path: possible (recommended in an anticlockwise direction; one short, steep patch of around 50 m)

Alpine farmland: not possible (path leads over meadows and a steep incline)

Fen path: not possible (natural stone steps, around 300 m) The wooden walkway in the fen is however easily accessible.

“People and the environment” path (Mensch und Umwelt): not possible (natural stone steps, around 300 m)
