The suspension railway is closed today, 16. February 2026, due to a storm warning. The restaurant, hotel and the store on the Schwägalp are open during regular opening hours and welcome you.

Make cheese together. Enjoy a group activity full of culinary delights and gain an insight into traditional cheese-making on the Schwägalp.

Together, we learn the art of cheese-making at the Alpine show dairy and produce our own cheese under expert guidance.

Step by step to your own cheese: in our Alpine show dairy, you will experience a craft that requires genuine teamwork. Under the expert guidance of our cheesemakers, you will immerse yourself in the art of cheese-making – from the first step to the finished loaf.

At the end, you will not only take home many impressions, but also your own homemade Mutschli cheese.
A delicious souvenir of a special day on the Säntis.

Information for participants
Bring waterproof, clean shoes or boots.
After 3-4 weeks, you can pick up your own Cheese from us at Schwägalp. Postal delivery is possible by arrangement.
